Ever been invited by a friend or a stranger to join a Network Marketing opportunity that will be generating millions of shillings every month or even weeks for you by just talking to a bunch of few friends and family? If you have, then there is a high chance you are already a VICTIM of Network Marketing SCAM. And if you haven’t then this could be one of your most important messages you ever read this year.
We have all seen them. They tell you how beautiful their products, company and system are, and how you can make millions every week promoting them. You end up investing your hard earned money and before you know it, you have just wasted hundreds of thousands or even million shillings in a company that failed to keep up with their promise.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying Network Marketing companies will rip you off. What I’m saying is that the most of the so-called Network Marketers will if you do not understand what you’re getting yourself into.
As a matter of fact, I STRONGLY encourage you to join a Network Marketing company for it has become a profession that has created more millionaires than any other profession in history. In other words, you have a 60% chance of becoming a MILLIONAIRE in a network marketing business than you do in a JOB (A.K.A – Journey Of the Broke)
But before getting involved in a Network Marketing company you need to look at 7 key things. And they are:
Age of the Company: Make sure you join a company which has lasted more than 5 years. Statistics show that 90% of all start-up companies fail in the first 5 years in business. Statistics also show that 90% of the remaining 10% also fail in the next 5 years in business. This also applies to all Network Marketing companies. If it has lasted more than 10 years it is even a better choice.
Credibility of the Company: What do other "Credible" sources talk about the company? Who has the company worked with? What has the company given to society? Etc. You need to work with a company which you can trust. A company which you have 100% faith in. Otherwise you might find yourself being trapped in an illegal business (like pyramids schemes) which might get you into trouble.
Size and Growth of the Company: The size and growth of the company gives you and idea of the level of success the company has achieved. Where are the offices operating? How many offices do they have? In how many countries? How many independent representatives/distributors are working with the company? That's all important. But an even more important question to ask is how fast the company growing. Growth is more important than the size. There are companies which have been in business since 1970’s and they have 7,000,000 Independent distributors and there are companies which have started in the late 90"s and they have 6,000,000 Independent distributors. Now which company should you get involved in? Off course the 2nd company has proven that it's growing in a rapid pace. That means more money is being generated in the 2nd company than the 1st company. So it's obviously a smart decision to get involved with the 2nd company.
Products: All legal Network Marketing companies offer products or services to the market place. If a company doesn’t, then it’s not a real business but a pyramid schemes which are illegal in most countries.For a company which promotes products, make sure their products are of value and have high global demand in the market place. The niche markets which have shown tremendous success with the top Network Marketing companies are:a. Health and Wellness Products (80% of all Network Marketing Companies) b. Telecommunication services c. Vacationd. Gold and Silver numismatics and jewelery (It's a growing trend)e. Education (Self improvement, Financial education, marketing etc - a growing trend) To make sure your investment is worthwhile make sure you join a Network Marketing company which has positioned themselves into the above niches.
Compensation Plan: You are into Network Marketing to make money. Period! If you want to get into Network Marketing only because of the product(s), then this message is not for you.“Always join a company that pays good money!” So how do you know if a company pays a lot of money or little money? Simple. Just look at 3 main things.1. How many people do you need to you recruit in your opportunity to earn a certain amount of money? Compare that with different companies and you will know which company pays better.2. What is the highest commission you can earn for selling a single product? For some companies it can go to lets say $200. For others, like the one I'm involved you can earn up to $1700 (and that's just for the direct commission). 3. How fast can you return your money?
Training: It is said that the best business training is found in a Network Marketing Company. This is true but not always the case. Most Network Marketing companies especially in Tanzania train you to become a sales person; selling their products. What you need is a company that develops and coaches you to become an entrepreneur. Learning the necessary skills to be able build a 7-Figure (in USD) business empire.
Technology: In Networking Marketing you have an opportunity to expand your business in a global market. You have a chance of becoming an international businessman/woman. It’s a BIG advantage if you get involved in a company that has a platform for you to expand your business in the international market without a hassle. I highly recommend a company with an e-commerce platform rather than the traditional door to door type where you physically distribute the products.
Now the question that should be ringing in your head right now is, can you become successful building a Network Marketing business and ultimately join the 3% top earners who earn a full 6-Figure income (in USD) per year in the next 3 to 5 years? Well, I don’t know you. But I bet you can highly increase your chance if you follow the 7 points I just mentioned.
Unfortunately more than 90% of Network Marketing companies in Tanzania, are not congruent with the 7 points I just mentioned. Some have 3 qualities, others 2 and some don’t any at all. There is ONLY 1 Network Marketing in this country that I have come across so far that fit into all the 7 points which I just mentioned.
